RENCONTRE LITTÉRAIRE AVEC L’ÉCRIVAIN SYLVAIN PRUDHOMME

Sylvain Prudhomme est l’auteur de quatre romans dont plusieurs ont pour cadre l’Afrique contemporaine où il a vécu et travaillé. Après une enfance passée au Cameroun, au Burundi, au Niger et à l’île Maurice, il part faire des études de Lettres à Paris, avant de diriger, de 2010 à 2012, l'Alliance franco-sénégalaise de Ziguinchor, au Sénégal. Parmi ses romans citons : Les Grands (Gallimard, 2014), disponible en anglais à la rentrée 2017 chez l’éditeur torontois BookThug et Légende (Gallimard,2016), son tout dernier ouvrage.

Sylvain Prudhomme est aussi l’auteur de plusieurs reportages et a collaboré avec de nombreux magazines, dont la revue Geste, le journal Le Tigre ou encore La Nouvelle Revue Française. Il contribue désormais à la chronique « Écritures » de Libération.

Sylvain Prudhomme is the author of four novels including several taking place in contemporary Africa where he lived and worked. After growing up in Cameroon, Burundi, Niger and Mauritius, he studied literature in Paris before running, from 2010 to 2012, the French and Senegalese Alliance in Ziguinchor, in Senegal. Among his novels are: Les Grands (Gallimard, 2014), available in English in fall 2017 from the Torontobased publisher BookThug and entitled “The Great”, and Légende (Gallimard, 2016), his latest novel.

Sylvain Prudhomme is also the author of
several reports and worked with numerous
French magazines, including Geste, Le
Tigre and La Nouvelle Revue Française. He
now contributes to the column « Écritures
» in the French newspaper Libération.
