Editorial Policy

We can’t help but want to present the performing arts community in the best light possible, and this has led to some editorial policies that will be applied to any content that is uploaded to our site.

These policies are in place because we want to put the performing art’s best foot forward, and share with audiences what artists already know—that the performing arts is an experience like no other. The nature of art is such that every artist will have a different idea of how they want to present themselves, their art, and their ideas.

Our Editorial Policy reflects the high standard of quality to which we hold ourselves. It helps us ensure that BeMused, as a digital commons, is a place that people enjoy participating in.

We want to make sure every artist, event and venue profile looks enticing and engaging. It’s in the interest of our users as well as BeMused Network to maintain a high level of content quality.

Things We Do

Content Curation

In order to create a consistent experience on BeMused Network for our users, all content is subject to editorial review and may be updated or revised by either the user or BeMused Network. We may promote user content on our site and on other outlets with an audience interested in our content. Events that are listed on our site also have to be appropriate for a general audience.

Content Creation

We create our own content to enhance the experience of using our site and to promote select events, artists and venues. Unless otherwise stated, the content we create is owned and copyrighted by BeMused, and licensed only for use by BeMused Network. Users have the option of purchasing these licenses from BeMused.
