Event Details
Searching for an authentic voice, a new aesthetic was born in French music of the second half of the 19th, and early 20th centuries. César Franck's Piano Quintet in F minor is an early work embarking on this change, while Gabriel Fauré’s Elégie for violoncello and piano and his late Piano Quintet in C minor represent the later stages of this development during these decisive decades.
