Soukustek brings a new wave of high-energy, dance-inducing Colombian music to the city. Rising up from Colombia's Caribbean coast, Soukustek combines elements of Nigerian highlife, Afrobeat and the joyful and sunny sounds of champeta'a African guitar that is rooted in Congolese soukous.
Founder of Soukustek, champeta guitarist, Tury Morey gives us a taste of life growing up in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, surrounded by African influences and Caribbean culture.
Direct from Cartagena, Colombia, DJ Danny SK will spin the best of the best champetas so prepare yourself to dance like never before!
