Dr. Nativo + Higher Heights Hi Fi + Tamika + DJ Poirier

Dr. Nativo

One of Central America’s most exciting new talents, Dr. Nativo explores themes of Mayan spirituality, social justice and folk wisdom, through an explosive combination of reggae, cumbia, hip hop, and Mayan traditional music. His first solo album, Guatemaya, will be released this year.

DJ Poirier

Montreal-born and raised producer, musician and DJ, Poirier has released music on Wonderwheel Recordings, Nice Up! Records and Ninja Tune and produced 10 albums over a span of 15 years – 8 albums under Poirier and 2 as Boundary. Well-versed in afro-house, reggae, dancehall, soca, afrobeat and electronic music, the boundary breaking DJ is responsible for Montreal's highly-successful monthly, Qualité de Luxe. Following up on his 2016 album Migration, which featured collaborations with Red Fox, Machinedrum and Face-T, last year Poirier released a 4-track EP of Afro-House influenced dancefloor firestarters called Be Alright.

DJ Tamika

Hailing from NYC and currently based in Toronto, Tamika has been making waves in the Canadian nightlife and queer scenes. Formerly of the Montreal party collective Cousins, which was voted in the top 5 club nights in Montreal, and within the top 10 queer parties outside of the Village (Cult Mtl, MTLBlog), Tamika is dedicated to bridging the gap between all her influences – from rap cypher to gay ballroom vogue - DJ Tamika brings her hip hop, dancehall, and rnb roots to the decks.

Higher Heights Hi Fi

Toronto's own reggae/dub sound system kicks off the night.
