Pourquoi avons-nous choisi ce film ?
Nommé aux Oscars 2020 comme Meilleur Film en Langue Étrangère, Les Misérables a définitivement fait parler de lui cette année. Tout le monde est unanime : c'est un film beau, puissant, et qui fait réfléchir. L'histoire est difficile, mais belle. Les images sont intenses, mais réalistes. Les Misérables est un film à voir, et c'est d'ailleurs pour ça que VOUS l'avez choisi cette année pour être programmé à l'Alliance Française de Toronto.

Synopsis :
Stéphane, tout juste arrivé de Cherbourg, intègre la Brigade Anti-Criminalité de Montfermeil, dans le 93. Il va faire la rencontre de ses nouveaux coéquipiers, Chris et Gwada, deux "Bacqueux" d’expérience. Il découvre rapidement les tensions entre les différents groupes du quartier. Alors qu’ils se trouvent débordés lors d’une interpellation, un drone filme leurs moindres faits et gestes...

Nominated at the 2020 Oscars for Best Movie in a Foreign Language, you may have heard a lot of Les Misérables this past year. Everybody agrees: this is a beautiful, powerful and thougtful movie. The story is hard, but beautiful. The filmography is intense, but realistic. Les Misérables is a movie you must watch, and that's why YOU chose it to be programmed this year at Alliance Française Toronto.

Synopsis :
Stéphane, a cop from the provinces, moves to Paris to join the Anti-Crime Brigade of Montfermeil. He meets his new coworkers, Chris and Gwada, two experienced cops. He rapidly discovers the tensions between the different groups within the district. While they are overwhelmed during a police operation, a drone records all the comings and goings...
